All-purpose cleaning spray

prep 3 min

Ingredients
  • 1 spray bottle (prefer dark glass or aluminium) – based on 500ml
  • Distilled or filtered water
  • 40 drops pure essential oils (or use white vinegar) – citrus oils are great for cleaning and scent – add a drop of oregano cleaning hit
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
Instructions
  1. Place 20 drops of your chosen oil in the bottom of a clean spray bottle.
  2. Add 1tbsp white vinegar.
  3. Top up with water

Notes

If just using vinegar, use half water, have vinegar. Just be aware that the vinegar can sometime cause the plastic in the spray mechanism to expand and sieze.

Shower cleaner spray

prep 2 min

Ingredients
  • 1 spray bottle (based on 500ml bottle)
  • Castile soap (or DoTerra On Guard cleaner concentrate)
  • 10 drops Oregano essential oil
  • 10 drops Clove essential oil
  • 20 drops citrus essential oil (or any other essential oil)
  • White vinegar
  • Distilled or filtered water
Instructions
  1. Fill the bottle 1/10 of the way with castile soap (50ml if using 500ml)
  2. Add essential oils.
  3. Top up to 1/2 way with white vinegar.
  4. Fill with water

Notes

To use, hose down the shower, spray it on and let it sit a few minutes then scrub off with a microfiber cloth or sponge.

Air freshener

prep 2 min

Ingredients

  • 1 small spray bottle (100ml)
  • 30 drops essential oil (include lemon essential oil for purifying)
  • Distilled or filtered water
Instructions
  1. Drop the oils into the bottle.
  2. Top up with water.
  3. Give it a good shake before you spray each time.

Notes

I also use this as perfume sometimes – if I’ve had a big day with the kids or just want to smell a bit fresher I’ll spritz myself before I walk out the door.

Stove top cleaner

  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup table salt
  • 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp distilled or filtered water
  • 5 drops of Purify essential oil blend or citrus oils
Instructions
  1. Mix it all up in a bowl and spread over the stove and burners.
  2. Leave for 15 minutes then wash off with a wet cloth.
